COMPUTERBANK NETWORKING SA
INSTALLS A MODERN ENTERPRISE NETWORKING ENVIRONMENT
AT THE COURTS OF THE FIRST INSTANCE
AND THE ATHENS DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE
7 July 1999: The Ministry of Justice has initiated
an ambitious program of modernisation of the IT and Telecommunication
infrastructure at the Courts of the First Instance and at the
Athens District Attorneys Office. Prime contractor is ACE Advanced
Concepts Enterprices SA, who have subcontracted the networking
part of the project to Computerbank Networking Group.
The first phase of the networking project is already completed,
interconnecting 480 workstations in 16 buildings of the former
Army Cadets Campus. The buildings were connected using 3000 metres
of optical fibre, while 22000 metres of copper cabling were used
for the interconnection of workstations. Computerbank Networking
used material and equipment of Mod-Tap, the structured cabling
manufacturer (USA) and of Cabletron Systems' (USA) Digital Networking
Brand. Both manufacturers are represented in Greece by Computerbank
Networking SA.
Computerbank Networking is a Group of Companies focusing on enterprise
networking, and so far has designed and installed a large number
of IT and Telecom networks in the Public and in the Private Sectors.
Last year the Group's revenue reached the level of Drs 1.7 billion.
For 1999, the Group forecasts revenue in the region of Drs. 3.2
billion.
