AT THE COURTS OF THE FIRST INSTANCE
AND THE ATHENS DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE

7 July 1999: The Ministry of Justice has initiated an ambitious program of modernisation of the IT and Telecommunication infrastructure at the Courts of the First Instance and at the Athens District Attorneys Office. Prime contractor is ACE Advanced Concepts Enterprices SA, who have subcontracted the networking part of the project to Computerbank Networking Group.

The first phase of the networking project is already completed, interconnecting 480 workstations in 16 buildings of the former Army Cadets Campus. The buildings were connected using 3000 metres of optical fibre, while 22000 metres of copper cabling were used for the interconnection of workstations. Computerbank Networking used material and equipment of Mod-Tap, the structured cabling manufacturer (USA) and of Cabletron Systems' (USA) Digital Networking Brand. Both manufacturers are represented in Greece by Computerbank Networking SA.
