NETWORKING THE
FISHING PORTS OF GREECE
11 September 1999: IT networking of eleven fishing
ports of the Greek Fishing Development Company ETANAL, from Alexandropolis
to Crete, was successfully completed. The project was carried
out by the IT & Telecom Networking company Computerbank Networking
SA, acting on behalf of the prime contractor, Computer Logic SA.
Structured cabling of the project was carried out with Molex/Premise
Networks (ex MOD-TAP) products, while optical fibres of the same
manufacturer were used for the connection of the two buildings
of the company in Piraeus. The active networking substructure
uses Cabletron Systems' DIGITAL Brand products.
Computerbank Networking SA, value added distributor of both Molex/Premise
Networks and Cabletron Systems, specialises in IT and Telecommunications
networking, and is one of the largest firms in this area in Greece.
