2000: A year of dynamic growth for Computerbank Networking Group

2000 was record breaking for the companies of Computerbank Networking
Group. The operating company Computerbank Networking SA, large
value-added distributor of networking material & equipment
and networking designer, reached total sales of Drs. 2.4 billion
(c. $6.3 million), which constitutes a 60% improvement over year
1999. An even higher increase was recorded in profits that reached
Drs. 314 million (c. $825,000), registering an increase by 234%.
On the other
hand, the IT & Telecom networking installations company Planet
Four Networking SA, registered a total sales increase of 90% over
the year before, reaching the level of Drs 660 million ($ 1.7
million) with a 98% improvement of profits, that reached the level
of Drs. 26 million (million (c. $68,000).
«- Now», said
President & CEO Costas Vourdakis «we see the results of our
correct company infrastructure, our careful selection of personnel
and our insistence on quality throughout our operation».
Another interesting
fact from last year's (2000) Group operations, is that its companies
designed, installed and support the voice/data/video networking
infrastructure for 45,600 workstations in various Public Administration
Departments, Public Utilities and large private enterprises.
«- Continuous
personnel training in our design and installations departments»,
said the Technical Director Mr. Manolis Voyatzis «helped us achieve
high productivity, by almost eliminating mistakes and errors,
the level of which now stands at only about 3.2%. This allows
us to do things right from the first time without the need for
fire-fighting activities. In turn», Mr. Voyatzis continued, «this
has freed-up useful potential, so we are able to respond immediately
to our customers' needs».
Year 2001
promises to be also a record year, since the Group companies have
already install the voice/data/video networking infrastructure
for more than 10,000 workstations within the (traditionally low…)
1st Quarter.
