In our previous e-mail we informed you about the pioneering telemedicine
project between Korydallos Prison Facilities and Nikaea Hospital
in Piraeus, implemented by Planet Four Networking SA, one of the
companies of our Group, under subcontract from the main contractor,
Messrs Themis Construction Co. SA.
To day, we wish to tell you about the progress of some more of
our projects, which you may find interesting.
NETWORKING SUBSTRUCTURE AT HELLEXPO. Structured cabling
with Molex Premise Networks' products interconnecting 700 workstations
in the new Hellexpo Exhibition Hall at Kifissias Avenue in Athens,
installed by Computerbank Networking SA. Prime contractor: BIOTER
Industrial Constructions SA.
NETWORKING PROJECT AT ERT (GREEK NATIONAL RADIO & TELEVISION
ORGANISATION). Structured cabling with Molex Premise Networks'
products at the ERT offices and studios buildings (a) of Agia
Paraskevi and (b) of Katechaki Avenue in Athens. Installed and
handed over to the prime contractor, SINGULAR SA.
EXTENSIONS TO THE OAED ENTERPRISE NETWORK. Extensions to
the enterprise network we have already installed at the OAED (Workforce
Employment Organisation) supporting the applications of its Centres
for the Advancement of Employment. The new project is designed
to employ structured cabling of MOLEX Premise Networks and active
LAN and WAN equipment from CABLETRON Systems/DIGITAL Brand. The
new installation will cater for the networking requirements of
27 local branches in various parts of Greece and 6 regional offices.
Prime contractor: ACE - Advanced Concept Enterprises SA.
NETWORK OF THE ATHENS COURT OF APPEALS. We have designed,
supplied the material and currently we carry out installation
of CABLETRON active networking equipment at the new, ultra-modern
Hall of the Court of Appeals in Athens (Alexandra's Avenue). Prime
contractor: Network Consultants SA.
PAEGAE ENTERPRISE NETWORK. Computerbank Networking SA is about
to complete installation of the enterprise network of PAEGAE (the
General Warehousing Depots of Greece) with Molex Premise Networks
and CABLETRON Systems products. Prime contractor: SINGULAR SA.
Regarding news of our agencies, CABLETRON Systems announced a
new High Rate wireless solution for outdoor environments. Based
on the 802.11b industry standard, the new outdoor High Rate RoamAbout
combines 11 Megabit-per-second (Mbps) performance and advanced
security features to deliver fast, secure, reliable wireless connectivity

Cabletron Systems also announced that one of the largest School
Districts in the United States, has selected Cabletron's RoamAbout
wireless solutions to connect modular classrooms with its main
academic buildings. The new solution provides extended connectivity
through a cost-effective and flexible alternative to fiber optic
cabling, delivering students and faculty network access to benefit
virtually every aspect of the school district's curriculum.
